Client: Vireo Video Event: 10 year anniversary party Date: June 25, 2026 Location: Downtown Vancouver Entertainment: Strolling close-up magic
I was the magician for Vireo Video's 10 year anniversary party in downtown Vancouver, performing strolling close-up magic for the team and their guests through the evening.
How Sarah found me
Sarah from Vireo saw me perform at a different event first: Adam's 40th birthday. When the company's big milestone came up, she reached out to book me.
Referrals like that matter. Someone has already watched me work a room, and they're trusting me with something important to them. Ten years is a big deal for any company.
A company with strong values
Vireo was a really cool company to perform for. They have really strong values, and that's the kind of team I love celebrating with.
Magic in the loft
The party filled a bright loft with brick walls, big arched windows and a giant 10 balloon. Perfect for close-up magic. No stage, no sound system, no setup. I moved from group to group, and the magic happened right in their hands.
Here's one of those groups: four guests on the window ledge.

Why close-up magic works for a company anniversary
- Everyone stays together. Nobody gets pulled to a stage or a row of chairs. The party keeps flowing.
- It fits any room. An office, a loft, a restaurant. If people can stand together, it works.
- Every group gets a moment. I go to the guests, so the quiet corner gets the same experience as the bar.
- It gives people a story. The magic happens in their hands, so they're still talking about it the next day.
