The only Vancouver entertainer who hosts your event and is the entertainment.
Most events hire two people: an MC to run the night and an entertainer to make it memorable, then hope the handoffs are smooth. I do both jobs at once. No other magician in Vancouver offers this combination.

Why one person doing both changes your whole event

Dead air disappears
The gap between dinner and speeches, the lull while AV resets, the awkward wait for a late award recipient. A regular MC fills those with small talk. I fill them with a two-minute miracle.

The energy never resets
When your MC is also your entertainer, the room's attention never has to be won twice. The person your guests already love is the person guiding them to what's next.

One vendor, one contract, one point of contact
Your planning workload gets cut in half. One conversation about timing, one invoice, one person who shows up early and needs nothing from your venue.

The timeline gets professional help
I don't just run your program, I help you build it. Show timing, food timing, when to do the awards, where the prize draw lands. After 25 years of events, I know exactly where evenings sag, and I'll flag it before you print the agenda.
What I handle as your MC

The welcome and opening, setting the tone so the night starts warm instead of stiff. Introductions for speakers, executives and award presenters, done properly, with names pronounced right. Award ceremonies and prize draws, kept moving and kept fun. Transitions between dinner, speeches and entertainment, so nothing feels like waiting. Timeline management in real time, because dinner always runs long and someone has to adapt.
And woven through all of it, the magic: close-up during cocktails and dinner, and a full after-dinner show if your event calls for it.
“A terrific magician but also a wonderful MC. Guests were still talking about his tricks days after our wedding.”

Who books this

Corporate events: galas, awards nights, holiday parties and conferences, for clients including RBC, TD Bank, TELUS, Teck Resources, McDonald's, McCarthy Tétrault, Fairmont and Parq Casino. When the program matters and the room is full of colleagues and clients, the host can't be an amateur with a microphone.
Weddings: couples book me to MC the reception and perform through the evening. Your families get one warm, professional voice guiding the night, and entertainment that gets your two guest lists actually talking to each other.

Almost always less than two good vendors, and dramatically less coordination risk. When it's booked alongside performance in a full evening package, hosting is included, from $4,000 for a typical corporate event. Tell me about your event below and I'll give you one all-in number. In November and December, the full evening is the only format I book, at a flat $5,000, so factor that into a December date.

One person. The whole night.
