What this site collects, plainly.

Last updated August 27, 2026

This site is run by Kel Modern Magic Inc. in Vancouver, British Columbia. It collects very little, and everything it does collect is described below. If anything here is unclear, email info@kelvinngmagic.com and ask.

What you give us on purpose

The enquiry form asks for your first and last name, email address and phone number, then your guest count, event date, venue, event type, budget range, and a description of the event. That is the whole list.

The form has four steps. If you stop partway through and never press send, nothing is passed on. Partial entries are not forwarded to the CRM, emailed, or used to contact you.

There is also one hidden field on the form that you will never see or be able to fill in. It exists to catch automated spam. If it comes back filled, the submission is discarded.

Where it goes

A completed enquiry goes into the booking database Kel Modern Magic runs for itself, over an authenticated connection, and triggers a notification so Kel sees it. Some enquiries also pass through an automation service that writes the same record. Nobody outside the business receives it. That is the entire journey.

It is used to answer your enquiry, quote your event, and keep a record of the booking. It is never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing.

What gets collected automatically

Google Analytics records which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from, so Kel can tell which pages are useful. Google Ads conversion tracking records that an enquiry came from an ad click, so advertising money is not spent blind. Both set cookies in your browser.

If you arrive from a Google ad, the ad's click identifier is kept in your browser for the length of your visit and sent with your enquiry if you submit one. It links the enquiry to the ad. It does not identify you.

The chat window stores a record in your own browser called kmm_lead_session — a random session ID and anything you told it — so a conversation survives a page reload. It clears itself after 30 days, and clearing your browser data removes it immediately.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs. Videos are embedded from YouTube, and YouTube sets its own cookies when a video is played.

Where in the world it sits

The website, the booking database and the analytics all run on servers operated by companies based in the United States. That means your information is stored and processed outside Canada, and while it is there it can be subject to the laws of that country. This is ordinary for a business of this size — almost every Canadian website you use works the same way — but you are entitled to know it before you type anything into a form.

How long it is kept

Booking records are kept for as long as the business relationship is live, and for a period afterwards, because repeat clients often rebook years apart and the history genuinely matters when they do. Enquiries that never became bookings are kept so Kel does not ask you the same questions twice. Either way, ask and it will be deleted.

Asking to see it or have it deleted

Email info@kelvinngmagic.com and ask for a copy of what is held about you, a correction, or deletion. No particular form of words is needed. Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act you have the right to ask, and to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with the answer.

To stop the analytics cookies, use your browser's cookie controls or Google's own opt-out tools. The site works normally without them.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no notification list.
