I was the wedding MC and magician for Sharon and Regan at the UBC Boathouse in Richmond: I hosted their reception and performed a stage show for the whole room.
I've been performing at weddings across Vancouver for years. Ballrooms, banquet halls, warehouses, rooms on the water. Weddings are one of the most important parts of my career, because I get to be part of someone's special day and help everyone in the room feel good.
Sharon and Regan's was one of the pretty ones. The Boathouse is all windows, with the river and the mountains right there, and the light kept changing as the night went on.
I hosted the reception from the podium, then performed the show for the whole room. Volunteers came up, the room laughed, and one prediction came out on a giant sign.
